POST-TEST TRAINING

At Bristol Two-wheel Training our commitment doesn't stop after you've passed your test. We offer a range of packages to help you get the most out of your riding.

Post-test training costs £15.00 per hour or £100.00 for a seven-hour day. There are two main types:

  1. Refresher courses for returning riders should be regarded as essential, as "born again bikers" who do not take training are at the top of the casualty league, even higher than young riders. Refresher courses can be taken on a 125 or a 500, or one and then the other in the same day.
  2. Rider improvement lessons are aimed at current riders who wish to have an assessment to make sure that they are o.k. or to identify weaknesses and then take follow-up training to improve on these areas. Riders who have identified areas for improvement might wish to take a four hour or full day course. An initial assessment ride would normally be for two hours.
The current motorcycle test does not prepare riders for many of the real-world situations that they will encounter. We can help with things like higher speed cornering and overtaking, filtering in urban riding and low speed handling.

If you find that you are struggling with your line in corners, losing speed, running a bit wide and coming out of the corner one gear too high then call us. If you are in a traffic queue and see other bikes coming by on the outside, we can show you how to do this safely.

We are also happy to give free advice about continental touring on bikes.
